The IRS announces a moratorium on reviewing any ERTC claims received after Sept. 13, 2023, until the new year, although businesses can continue to file. Basically, expect delays in the process. Some good news: the rate of entrepreneurship is rising in the U.S., led by women and people of color, according to study by Babson College that shows 19% of adults is starting a business or has done so. If people want to work, the jobs are there, especially in service industry such as leisure and hospitality. Gene Marks suggests businesses be ready to offer competitive salaries and the right benefits to land employees.
